Appreciation Luncheon
for Joe Edge, Ex-President of Carver Alumni Association

Joe Edge with wife Ann on Dec. 3, 2011
Inspirational, dedicated, a friend, a driving force; these
are a few of the words used to describe Joe during his tenure as president
of the Carver Alumni Association (CAA), as friends gathered to honor his
service. Many have said that the organization couldn't have kept going
without Joe's enthusiasm.
Present CAA President Leah Vines planned the luncheon which
was attended by many members. The luncheon was held at the Western Sizzlin
Restaurant on Saturday, Dec. 3rd, 2011 in Rocky Mount, NC.
Joe spoke to the group with words of encouragement and some
of the funniest and most heart-felt stories I've heard lately. In
attendance were Joe's sisters and alumni members who spoke words of love and
appreciation for all the hard work done by Joe.
Photos of the luncheon are here.
